Life in the village of elves in China

The dwarf village is a popular tourist destination in Kunming. However, this place has suffered quite a lot of mixed opinions when using short people to work.

In 2009, an entrepreneur named Chen Mingjing founded a village called "Kingdom of the Dwarfs", and attracted hundreds of small people across China and Asia to live here. People who are "licensed" to come here all own a height of not more than 1.3 m.

The village is located in a mountainous area in southern China, about an hour's drive from downtown Kunming, Yunnan Province.

The elves who come here are offered free and paid accommodation by Mingjing. In return, they will accept the task of performing mixed music and dance to serve visitors to visit.

Every day in the village two shows are held. Visitors come here to live in a fairytale atmosphere with elves, kings, queens, fairies and mushroom houses.

In addition to acting as kings, queens, courtiers, servants, fairies and joining the dance, ballet, magic ... teams, the rest can take on other duties such as serving, cleaning. ...

Depending on the job they undertake, each dwarf will be paid a monthly salary from 160 to 400 USD.

In this village there is even a fire station and police. The houses here are unlocked, people live in harmony with each other and disputes and friction are settled in a fair way.

However, Mingjing's business is facing fierce opposition from the people. They think that this is no different from a "dwarf zoo", and this man is trading on the labor of people who are not lucky to be born with normal height.

Mingjing immediately objected to the mixed opinions. He said people are paid a fair wage for their hard work. Even the dwarves here are much better than before - when they have to wander the streets to make a living through the day. The businessman also intends to expand the village to attract about 1,000 people to live here.
