Google launched Pixel 8 that supports AI generation


The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro duo are equipped with a Tensor G3 chip that supports Google AI, upgraded cameras and has an additional temperature sensor.

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, launched on October 5, have a design that is not much different from the previous generation. The Pixel 8 uses a 6.2-inch screen, 0.1 inch smaller than the Pixel 7, the resolution is still Full HD + but increases the scanning frequency from 90 to 120 Hz. The Pixel 8 Pro still uses a 6.7-inch OLED LTPO screen with 2K resolution and 2,400 nit high brightness. The prices of the two devices are 699 and 999 USD respectively, 100 USD higher than the previous generation.

The device is equipped with a Tensor G3 chip manufactured on Samsung's 4 nm process. The chip has 9 cores, of which the main core is Cortex-X3, four Cortex-A715 cores, four Cortex-A510 cores.

In addition, Tensor G3 also integrates the Titan M2 security chip and supports Google's generative AI , providing users with features such as call screening, real-time translation, and virtual assistant briefing requests. documents, websites like Bard chatbots, Bing AI... Generative AI also helps the virtual assistant on the Pixel 8 series become smarter and can understand user commands even if they stumble.

Pixel 8 is equipped with 8 GB RAM, while the Pro version increases to 12 GB. Both have IP68 water and dust resistance and feature fingerprint and face unlock.

Pixel 8 Pro has three rear cameras with a 50-megapixel main camera that supports OIS. The two super wide-angle and telephoto lenses have the same 48 megapixel resolution, with the telephoto lens giving a maximum zoom of 30x. Front camera has 10.5 megapixel resolution. This model has an additional Melexis MLX90632 sensor that allows measuring the temperature of objects, bodies... in the range from -20 to 150 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 only has two rear cameras with a 50-megapixel main lens, 8x Super-Res digital zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle that supports macro photography. The impressive point of the product is the AI-powered photo and video editing features such as Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, Best Take and Macro Focus, while the Pro version has new Pro Controls features.

Pixel 8 Pro uses a 5,050 mAh battery, supports 30 W wired charging and 23 W wireless charging. Pixel 8 has a 4,575 mAh battery with 27 W wired charging and 18 W wireless charging. Both will come with free VPN of Google One and is committed to updating the operating system and security for up to 7 years, the highest among smartphones. Apple currently only supports iOS updates for iPhone for up to 5 years.
